MORE than £19 million worth of improvement works are set to begin on roads and footways.
West Sussex County Council has received extra investment from the government of approximately £9 million to carry out improvements, including road resurfacing and changes to signs and road markings.
Work will begin this month and continue until March.
Roger Elkins, cabinet member for Highways and Infrastructure, said: “This is excellent news. We know how important the highways network is to people and this level of investment clearly acknowledges this.”
