A PET owner has been told his dog could be put down after it bit a man.
Gintaras Janjauskas’ dog Arnie was “dangerously out of control” when it attacked Stephen Flynn in Crawley.
The West Highland Terrier owner faces a dog destruction order if Arnie is not kept under control.
Hastings Magistrates’ Court ordered Janjauskas, of Swift Lane, Crawley to muzzle Arnie while out walking.
He must also castrate the dog as soon as possible, and maintain fencing at his property.
Magistrates said Arnie must only be walked by someone over the age of 18.
They imposed a £323 fine of Janjauskas, and told him to pay £100 compensation to Mr Flynn, with £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
