Contrary as ever, Weatherall has persevered with his vocals on this year's new Two Lone Swordsmen material. He also made his solo debut last year with The Bullet Catcher's Apprentice, after 30 years on the scene.
Both sets of material have seen him bring the rock element in his music to the fore, with particular reference to post-punk and rockabilly, and his solo set garnered comparisons with everyone from New Order to Tiefschwarz.
