A TEENAGE boy has been charged with robbery after allegedly threatening a victim and stealing his electric mountain bike.

The 17-year-old from Brighton is accused of stealing the bike in Underhill Lane, Hassocks, last Wednesday, and threatening another victim in Lewes Road, Brighton, last Friday.

He appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was released on conditional bail to appear at Worthing Youth Court on October 22.

A second 17-year-old has also been charged with carrying out a street robbery. He was charged with robbing a victim of his bag and belongings in Beaconsfield Villas, Brighton, last Friday. He also appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was released on conditional bail to appear at Worthing Youth Court on October 8.

The two cannot be named for legal reasons.
