Love through the ages is brought to life on ice at the Brighton Centre.
Romanza, the latest dynamic production from the world famous Holiday On Ice will set hearts on fire this winter, taking audiences on a journey through some of the most romantic stories from past to present day. Now in the company's 65th year, the show kicks off its UK leg at the much-loved seafront venue.
Romanza uses dance and theatrical techniques to create this retro and upbeat, artistically-choreographed production. Featuring cultural classics such as Madame Butterfly, Romeo and Juliet and Anthony and Cleopatra together with modern-day couples Sandy and Danny from Grease, Baby and Johnny from Dirty Dancing and even Barbie and Ken.
Beautifully told through the skilful skating of 46 international, world-class skaters, Romanza uses breathtaking solo numbers, elegant pair skating and exhilarating ensemble pieces to shock, surprise and entertain. This year, former England Rugby International Kyran Bracken, winner of ITV1's smash hit show, Dancing on Ice, joins the Romanza cast for their UK leg of the tour.
Dramatic sets, exquisite costumes and innovative lighting form the backdrop to a visual feast on the ice and in the air, with flying, fire and death-defying magic.
This modern take on the affairs of the heart makes Romanza a "must see" for ice show fans of all ages.
