The demon cleaners are polishing up their act to take centre stage in Cinderella at Theatre Royal Brighton this Christmas.

Kim and Aggie (Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie) have got their rubber gloves and feather dusters ready for their roles as The Ugly Sisters. Having spruced up the UK's homes with their Channel Four hit series How Clean Is Your House? the two domestic goddesses are set to dazzle audiences with their unique, larger-than-life appeal.

The cast also includes Nickelodeon TV presenter Laura Hamilton in the title role of Cinderella, Brighton's awardwinning dame Dave Lynn as the Wicked Stepmother and local comedian Jon Clegg. Jon makes a welcome return to pantomime as Buttons following his success in Aladdin at Theatre Royal Brighton last year.

This year's Christmas extravaganza promises to be the glitziest ball on the South Coast with a brand new set by world-renowned theatre designer Terry Parsons. There will also be gorgeous costumes, lots of music, jokes, audience participation and all the other ingredients that make pantomime in this magical 200-year-old building so special.

The pantomine has been written by George Wood and will be directed by Richard Baron. The choreographer is Suzanne Mole, the musical director is Pierce Tee and the lighting designer is James Whiteside.

Cinderella is co-produced by Theatre Royal Brighton and First Family Entertainment, a partnership which was set up to provide the best in traditional, professional, top-quality family shows.

Since being established in 2005, it has staged two successful pantomimes at Theatre Royal Brighton, Jack and the Beanstalk starring Twiggy, followed by Aladdin, which starred Chico.

There will be signed performances of Cinderella on Wednesday, December 12 and Thursday, January 3, at 7pm. Visit www.theambassadors.com/theatreroyal
