A MOTORCYCLIST was serious injured when his bike left the road and crashed into a bush.
The 36-year-old man was taken to hospital following the collision on the A27 at Firle on Friday afternoon.
The accident happened at 12.50pm and the biker was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he received treatment for wounds to his back and arm.
Sussex Police say it is currently not known whether any other vehicles were involved in the collision.
As a result, officers have launched an enquiry and are particularly keen to identify a red vehicle which drove along the road at the time of the crash.
PC Nick Smith of the Surrey and Sussex Road Policing Unit said: “If you saw what happened, or if you were the driver of that red vehicle, please get in touch with us at collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk, quoting serial 596 of 18/09.”
