HEALTHCARE staff can now benefit from free online fitness classes from leading personal trainers.

The wellbeing team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT) is encouraging staff to sign up to #DoingOurBit – a new platform which includes more than 40 workouts.

The project was originally launched by a group of 28 fitness trainers who wanted to give back to NHS staff during the coronavirus crisis.

Jolie Wilkinson, staff wellbeing advisor at ESHT, said: “As the Covid-19 crisis and lockdown took its toll, I was aware that staff were struggling to find convenient ways to exercise around their shifts and long hours.

“Despite the fact they are extremely busy, we encourage staff to exercise and have quality time for themselves to ensure they continue to look after their physical and mental health especially during these very stressful times.

“When the wellbeing team heard about #DoingOurBit we all agreed it is a great and convenient way for staff to engage in various exercise options and as a bonus it’s also free to sign up.

“The platform and workouts are presented well and every minute has been safety checked. This means I can signpost staff to the range of free workouts, knowing they are in good hands.”

All NHS staff can access #DoingOurBit by registering with their NHS email address and NHS Employer Number at fit4thefight.org.
