THE majority of Brits think Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should be stripped of their royal titles.
A study for Tatler magazine revealed that 68 per cent of respondents want to see the couple’s Duke and Duchess of Sussex monikers taken away.
The data for the study was collected by research consultancy Savanta Comres which conducted a survey of 4,174 UK adults.
This would remove their association with the county they are only known to have visited together once.
They spent a day dropping into sites in Brighton, Chichester, Bognor and Peacehaven a few months after their wedding.
The pair are currently staying on the other side of the Atlantic along with their son Archie.
This move followed their shock decision in January to “step back” as senior members of the royal family.
A statement announcing the shock news outlined how they would “no longer formally represent the Queen”.
But they continue to hold the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
