A MAN has been identified following a social media appeal launched by police on Tuesday.
He was sought in connection with an incident at the Pets at Home store in Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, on August 28.
It was reported that a man had entered the shop and made verbal threats towards staff.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing with police urging people “not to speculate”.
An Eastbourne Police spokesman said: "(On Tuesday) we issued an appeal to help identify a man in connection with an incident at an Eastbourne pet store.
"He has been identified and our enquiries are ongoing.
"Thanks to everyone who contacted us.
"We would urge the public not to speculate as our investigation continues."
