AN ABUSIVE woman has been sent to prison for attacks on emergency workers.

Denise Graham attacked three police officers during the coronavirus lockdown.

The 38-year-old was also found to be drunk and disorderly in Haslett Avenue in Crawley in August.

At Crawley Magistrates’ Court she admitted assaulting police officers in Merstham, Surrey, in April, and using abusive behaviour.

In May she had been given a suspended sentence for assault.

Then in June this year she was at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Lewisham where she assaulted a paramedic. She then attacked two more police officers.

Graham, of Pearson Road, Crawley, was jailed for 64 weeks.

Magistrate Alistair Worsley told her: “You are on a suspended sentence and still committing offences.

“You are repeatedly assaulting emergency workers and those assaults involve kicking and spitting.”
