BURNLEY Football Club have revealed options open to Clarets supporters who have season tickets who can either claim a refund or continue paying for the 2021/22 season.

Details have been released on the club's official website which covers every option available.

Fans who continue to pay towards next season would be eligible to apply for tickets to attend matches at Turf Moor if the stadium is allowed to re-open to supporters during the 2020/2021 campaign.

However, those who opt for a refund would exclude themselves from the possibility of purchasing any match ticket for this season if they do become available.

The club said: "We fully appreciate that our season ticket holders have either paid in full for the 2020/21 season, or continue to purchase their seat(s) via the rolling direct debit scheme.

"Until recently, we had hoped to welcome fans back into Turf Moor sooner, rather than later.

"However, given the recent update to Government guidelines following rising Covid-19 infection rates, and the subsequent ongoing exclusion of supporters, we feel the time is right to now offer some clarity and options regarding your season ticket, which includes a full refund if requested.

It added: "Fans have the option to take a full refund through the process laid out below, or continue to pay into their direct debit schemes, knowing that will, in turn, finance their season tickets for the 2021/22 season, and ensure they are not affected by any potential price increase for that season.

"And, in the meantime, should fans return to stadiums in restricted numbers, all existing season ticket holders who have not opted for a refund, will be eligible for a ballot for tickets for the current Premier League season."

Refund options, as stated on the club website, will be available from November 1.

* Paid for 2020/2021 season ticket in full, online or via telephone

Over the coming weeks, the value of your season ticket will be added to your online profile as part of the ticket websites new tool ‘OnAccount’. The price you have paid for your season ticket will be shown ‘OnAccount’ and will also include a button with the option to ‘Refund back to card’.

Once you click this, your 2020/2021 season ticket will be cancelled and the value refunded back to your credit/debit card.

Alternatively, leave the value of your 2020/2021 season ticket ‘OnAccount’ and you will have the option of using those funds to pay for your 2021/2022 season ticket when they go on sale next year.

*Paid for 2020/2021 season ticket by Direct Debit

The value you have paid so far in Direct Debit payments will soon be added to your online profile ‘OnAccount’, and will also include a button with the option to ‘Refund back to card’. If you ask for a refund through this tool, no further direct debit payments will be taken and any monies paid so far will be refunded.

Alternatively, continue to pay your Direct Debit payments through to March 2021. Your 2021/2022 season ticket will then be auto-renewed at zero cost.

* Paid in cash or credit/debit card in person at the Ticket Office

The value of your season ticket will be soon be added to your online profile ‘OnAccount’. The price you have paid for your season ticket will be shown ‘OnAccount’ and will also include a button with the option to ‘Refund back to card’. If you do not have a credit/debit card attached to your online profile, you will need to add this before the ‘Refund back to card’ option is available.

If you do not have an online profile, you will need to apply for your refund by using a manual refund request form (will be made active on November 1) or by calling the ticket office on 01282 446800.

Alternatively, leave the value of your 2020/2021 season ticket with us this season and we will automatically renew your seat for the 2021/2022 season.
