TWO boys were arrested on suspicion of a grievous attack on a busy main road.
Police and paramedics were called to Dominion Road in Worthing on Saturday afternoon.
A large cordon was set up after an 18-year-old was stabbed.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.
Pictures from the scene show how an area was taped off outside the Premier convenience store and the China China takeaway.
Shocked members of the public had gathered at the scene near the junction with Angola Road.
But police said two suspects, both teenagers were arrested swiftly on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
The force said: “We had a significant police presence in the area and there is no risk to the public.”
