THE number of recorded coronavirus cases in Brighton and Hove increased by 35 over the last 24 hours, official figures show.

Public Health England figures show that 1,445 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Tuesday (October 13) in Brighton and Hove, up from 1,410 the same time on Monday.

The number of recorded coronavirus cases in West Sussex increased by 68. The figures show that 4,093 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, up from 4,025.

The number of recorded coronavirus cases in East Sussex increased by 24.That means 2,354 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Tuesday, up from 2,330 the same time on Monday.

Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 17,232 over the period, to 634,920.
