THIS IS the moment an air ambulance landed on Brighton seafront.

The photograph was taken by Keith Farmer, 52, who was shocked to see the helicopter while cycling along the seafront.

Mr Farmer, from Brighton, posted a picture on social media showing the helicopter on the pebble beach.

The helicopter is empty with crew members thought to be attending an incident.

Mr Farmer said: I was rubbing my eyes in disbelief! It was just sitting there quietly, like a just eat bike around the back of a pizza place.

"Incongruous was the overriding feeling.

"Moody skies and pebbles, flat sea and a helicopter."

One Facebook user said they saw the chopper hover by the Marina, while others reported seeing the helicopter from their windows.

A spokeswoman said: "I can confirm that we were in attendance in Brighton on 13th October.

"Our crew arrived on scene at 12:50 where they treated the patient, who they then accompanied to the hospital by road."
