A MAN has been jailed for more than three years for a knifepoint robbery.

The attack happened in Norwich Crescent, Brighton, on September 30. Harry Avis, of Swanborough Drive, Brighton, fled the scene but police identified a vehicle suspected of being involved in the crime.

It was found in a retail park in Newton Road, Hove, later that afternoon.

Officers found Avis, 22, inside with a large knife and a number of items stolen during the robbery.

Appearing at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday, Avis pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of a bladed article.
