THE NUMBER of recorded coronavirus cases in Brighton and Hove increased by 28 over the last 24 hours, official figures show.
Public Health England figures show that 1,541 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Thursday in Brighton and Hove, up from 1,513 the same time on Wednesday.
The number of recorded coronavirus cases in East Sussex increased by 39.
The figures show that 2,437 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, up from 2,398 the same time on Wednesday.
And the number of recorded coronavirus cases in West Sussex increased by 69.
The public Health England figures show that 4,242 people had been confirmed as testing positive, up from 4,173 the same time on Wednesday.
It has been confirmed that London will have tougher restrictions from Saturday, including a ban on households mixing.
It means millions in the capital will be banned from meeting people from other households indoors, whether that’s in their home or in a pub.
Londoners have also been advised to avoid public transport and reduce the number of journeys they make where possible.
