POLICE are searching for a 16-year-old boy after he did not return home from school.
Umar Khan's family have not seen him since yesterday afternoon and are concerned for his safety and welfare.
It is believed the Crawley teen may have travelled away from his hometown, and Sussex Police are appealing for anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them.
Umar is of South Asian appearance, 5ft 3in tall and has short black hair.

He was last seen wearing his school uniform; a dark blue blazer, white shorts, black shoes and a black hooded jacket.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "It is believed he may have travelled out of the Crawley area and anyone who has seen Umar since he left school on Friday afternoon, or who has any other information on his whereabouts, is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101, quoting serial 1015 of 16/10."
