TRAVELLERS are facing cancellations and rail replacement services due to disruption on the tracks this morning.

All lines between Horsham and Three Bridges are blocked due to a broken down train and people are being warned to allow "plenty of extra time" this morning.

Commuters faced disruption earlier due to overrunning engineering works between Three Bridges and Haywards Heath.

Shortly after those lines reopened at 7.02am, the train broke down between Horsham and Three Bridges.

A Southern Rail spokesman said: "The broken down train lost power when it lost its shoe gear,  the part that collects power from the third rail.

"A rescue train is being attached so we can repower and move it."

Disruption is ongoing.
