A CASUALTY has been taken to hospital after a crash in Southend.
The East of England Ambulance Service Trust were called out to the crash yesterday afternoon.
A spokesman said: "The trust responded to an emergency call shortly before 2.45pm regarding an incident at the junction of Lifstan Way and Woodgrange Drive in Southend.
"Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle attended the scene.
"Two patients required treatment. One patient was treated on scene and the other was taken to Southend University Hospital for further care."
The Essex County Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they attended the scene but were not required to take any action.
A spokesman for Essex Police said there were no serious injuries and no criminal charges have been brought following the crash, which involved a Nisan Micra and a Peugeot.
