ONE side of Sussex continues to see a higher increase in coronavirus cases
The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Brighton and Hove increased by 41 over the last 24 hours, official figures show.
Public Health England figures show that 1,732 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Tuesday, up from 1,691 the same time on Monday.
The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government’s mass testing programme.
The number of recorded coronavirus cases in East Sussex increased by 38, up to 2,641.
And the number of recorded coronavirus cases in West Sussex increased by 61.
The total there is higher, with 4,519 people having been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Tuesday, up from 4,458 the same time on Monday.
