POLICE descended on a residential street following reports of a man with a gun.
Officers were called to Turner Road in Broadwater, near Worthing, shortly after 8am and arrested a man.
A statement from Adur and Worthing Police on the incident said: “At about 8.13am this morning, we responded to a report of a man in possession of a firearm in Turner Road, Broadwater.
“The area was contained and we safely arrested a man. An air rifle has been recovered.
“This incident was the result of a dispute between two parties and we’d like to reassure the public that there is no ongoing risk to the wider community.”
