A TEENAGE girl managed to fend off an attacker when he pushed her against a wall.

The fifteen-year-old was walking along Firle Road near the junction with Havelock Road in Eastbourne at about 7pm on Thursday, October 2, when she was approached by an unknown man who pushed her up against a wall.

The victim suffered a minor injury to her hand but managed to fight back against the man, who then fled the scene.

The suspect is about 25 years old with short brown hair and was wearing a baseball cap backwards and a hooded jumper.

Anyone who saw what happened, or who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time, is asked to contact police by calling 101, quoting serial 902 of 06/10.
