THREE coronavirus deaths have been recorded by a Sussex hospital trust over the weekend.
All three were reported by the Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust between 5pm on Thursday and 5pm on Sunday.
There have now been a total of 263 confirmed coronavirus deaths at hospitals operated by the trust.
In Brighton and Hove, the most recent weekly figure (the seven days ending on October 21) showed that there had been 368 coronavirus cases in the city during this period, giving it a weekly rate of 126.5 cases per 100,000 people.
In East Sussex there were 311 cases during this time, and in West Sussex there were 566.
This means the weekly coronavirus rates in these areas now stands at 55.8 and 65.5 per 100,000 population respectively.
In the UK, as of 9am yesterday, 894,690 people had tested positive for coronavirus.
This marked a rise of 20,890 in 24 hours.
The number of deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test also increased between 5pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.
There were 102 within the 24-hour period, taking the UK total to 44,998.
However, government figures show that there have been a total of 58,164 UK deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate.
