A MURAL to US President Donald Trump in the urinals at the Mucky Duck in Manchester Street, Brighton has prompted a mixed reaction from Argus readers.

While millions of Americans took to the polls yesterday to vote in the US presidential election, readers on this side of the pond had their say on the Mucky Duck’s unusual tribute to Donald Trump.

Opinion was divided, with some readers calling the artwork “childish”, while some users said it was “funny.”

Writing on The Argus’ Facebook page, Chrissie Sidwell said: “I was given a Donald Trump toilet brush for my birthday last year. It’s very satisfying dunking his head in my toilet bowl.”

Sally Ansell said: “Gotta love the British sense of humour… we do it so well.”

Nick Clarke said: “We live in England. Why are so many people bothered about him? He has nothing to do with our daily lives.”

Peter John Clements said: “Nothing wrong with having an opinion…everything wrong with forcing that opinion on others.”

Marcus James wrote: “Hehehe… looks fun.”

In the comments section, some users suggested other political figures should also be “honoured” with a similar painting.

One Facebook user said he wanted to visit the Mucky Duck to use the urinal before lockdown comes into force just after midnight.

Results of the US presidential election are still pouring in from across the US.

It is still unknown as to who has won the presidential race.

The country is on course for its highest voter turnout in more than a century and counting in some states could continue for days.
