TWO people were robbed in an alley by a group of teens brandishing spanners.
The 37-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were injured during the attack near Terminus Road, Littlehampton.
They suffered bruising and £40 was taken during the incident at 2.30pm on Tuesday this week.
Police say three suspects were arrested on suspicion of robbery including an 18-year-old man, and two 16-year-old boys.
During a search spanners and cannabis were found.
The arrests were carried out by officers working on Operation Sceptre, a week of targeted action on violence and knife crime which launched on Monday.
Sergeant Scott Walters said: “We will not tolerance violence and work tirelessly to remove harmful items from our local communities.
“This is being treated as an isolated incident and it is understood that the victims and suspects may be known to each other.”
He urged anyone with information to report it online to Sussex Police or call 101.
