A YOUNG woman was followed and robbed by a hooded man after she took out money from a supermarket cashpoint.
The 18-year-old victim was with a friend at Tesco in South Farm Road, Worthing on November 6 at 7.30pm.
As she walked along Tarring Road towards West Worthing station she noticed she was being followed.
At the rail crossing a man approached them and took her burgundy rucksack.
He then ran off and got into the passenger seat of a Fiat Punto which then sped away towards the town centre.
Police say the victim and her pal were shaken by the incident but not injured.
The suspect is a 6ft tall athletic white man who wore a grey hooded top with the hood up. He had a blue face mask on.
Officers want to know if anyone has any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, in particular from a taxi driver who may have seen what happened.
A 31-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of robbery. The woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug. They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
