DOZENS of primary school pupils took part in a competition to draw a village’s landmarks.

Mistley Parish Council invited the children of Mistley Norman Primary School to depict the landmarks of Mistley and submit their work in a drawing competition.
More than 60 entries were received by the council.
Colourful - Isaac painted EDME, in High Street
The winners of the competition were Paige, from Year 5, and Noah, from Year 3, who both drew the swan fountain, as well as Isaac, from Year 6, who sketched EDME, and Isabelle, from Year 1, and reception pupil Mary who drew Old Knobbley, the ancient oak tree in Furze Hill.

The winning pictures will be displayed on the parish council’s website and Facebook page, and the originals displayed in the Village Hall.
Charlotte Howell, the council’s chairman said: “We were absolutely thrilled to receive so many fantastic pictures of some of the most-loved landmarks in our beautiful village. The winning artists each received prizes and everyone who entered received chocolates to share.”
