WE may be in the middle of a second national lockdown, but it does not mean we can't still enjoy food from our favourite restaurants.

A wide selection of eateries in Harwich are running delivery and collection services for residents to take advantage of.

The Standard has compiled a list of the places serving food to customers under strict government guidelines.

The Alma Inn, in King's Head Street, Harwich, is running a takeaway-only service to customers.

A statement from the pub said: "All your Alma favourites are boxed up for you to enjoy at home with a 25 per cent off our normal prices."

Pieseas Chippy, in West Street, Harwich is running both a takeaway and delivery service.

A statement on the business' Facebook page said the only change made during the second lockdown is that it will close on Sundays at 6pm.

It added: "All through the first lockdown we carried on with a full menu, we will do our very best to continue this.

"Everyone at Pieseas really appreciates how all of customers have been patient with our new way of serving you and thank you for your continued support throughout the year."

The Station Cafe, in Dovercourt, is open for takeaway and delivery services and takes telephone orders for customers.

The full menu is still being served, and food can be ordered by calling 01255 243616.

Other places running a takeaway service include Ocean Fish Bar, in Main Road, Dovercourt and  The Raj, which is also in Main Road.

Mandarin House, in Main Road, Dovercourt and Family Pizza, in Kingsway, are running a takeaway and delivery service.
