THE LATEST Public Health England figures show which areas of Sussex have a weekly coronavirus rate of more than 200 cases per 1000,000 people.

A total of 17 areas in the county are currently above this threshold.

The data is shown on an interactive map produced by the government, with higher infection rates represented by darker colours.

The map uses figures from the week leading up to November 9 in order to give a seven-day rolling rate.

These are calculated by dividing the seven day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.

It breaks the UK down into Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs)- geographic areas with a population of between 5,000 and 7,200.

A seven-day rolling rate is given for each MSOA.

These are the MSOAs in Sussex where the weekly coronavirus infection rate was greater than 200 cases per 100,000 people in the seven days leading up to November 9, in order of rate:

1. Goldsmid East, Hove

There were 26 weekly cases, giving a rate of 290.6 cases per 100,000 population.

2. Coldean and Moulsecoomb North, Brighton

There were 34 weekly cases, giving a rate of 290.4 cases per 100,000 population.

3. Steyning and Upper Beeding

There were 23 weekly cases, giving a rate of 266.9 cases per 100,000 population.

4. Withdean Woods, Brighton

There were 22 weekly cases, giving a rate of 250.1 cases per 100,000 population.

5. Midhurst and Cocking

There were 19 weekly cases, giving a rate of 240 cases per 100,000 population.

6. Crawley Down

There were 15 weekly cases, giving a rate of 236.2 cases per 100,000 population.

7. Hollingdean and Moulsecoomb West, Brighton

There were 21 weekly cases, giving a rate of 231.3 cases per 100,000 population.

8. Easebourne and Petworth

There were 18 weekly cases, giving a rate of 225.3 cases per 100,000 population.

9. Rudgwick, Slinfold and Barns Green

There were 15 weekly cases, giving a rate of 223.9 cases per 100,000 population.

10. Bevendean and Moulsecoomb East, Brighton

There were 18 weekly cases, giving a rate of 223.8 cases per 100,000 population.

11. Patcham East, Brighton

There were 17 weekly cases, giving a rate of 216.5 cases per 100,000 population.

12. Haywards Heath North East

There were 24 weekly cases, giving a rate of 211.6 cases per 100,000 population.

13. Manor Royal and Northgate, Crawley

There were 24 weekly cases, giving a rate of 211.2 cases per 100,000 population.

14. West Blatchington, Hove

There were 16 weekly cases, giving a rate of 209.3 cases per 100,000 population.

There were 18 weekly cases, giving a rate of 206.1 cases per 100,000 population.

16. Central Chichester
