An "extremely rare" albino squirrel has been spotted.
Dog walker Rachel Kilburn was thrilled when she spotted the incredibly rare squirrel scampering around in Jugg Hill Park in Bromley yesterday.
The condition affects around one in a million grey squirrels, with about 50 such creatures thought to live in the UK.
Their unique white colour is caused by an absence of melanin, which affects their skin and hair, and caused their eyes to go red or pink.
John Swinfield sent in the picture and said the sighting of the animal was among the few of any squirrels he had seen.
He said: "It's the second time in recent weeks the animal has been seen."
Albino squirrels are believed to have sight and hearing problems, making life in the wild very difficult for them.
