A LITTLE boy pushed an unknown woman away when she put her arms on his shoulders.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the nine-year-old was approached by the woman on his walk home from school.

The incident happened near the traffic lights in Columbia Drive,Worthing, at about 3.45pm on Wednesday.

The woman reportedly put her arms on the boy’s shoulders but he pushed her off and ran away. She is described as black, about 40, with black wavy hair and a bow.

Sergeant Peter Allan said: “Officers have been patrolling the area and we encourage anyone who may have seen the incident, or has any further information, to call 101 quoting serial 0873 of 25/11.

“Our teams have visited the boy and his family and we are working closely with the school to provide advice.”
