DINERS will soon be able to enjoy the delights of a new restaurant.

Phelan’s Food Bar is set to open in a formerly vacant restaurant space in Church Road, Hove.

The restaurant, wedged between Hove MP Peter Kyle’s office and the Ashoka restaurant, aims to open after lockdown.

Finishing touches were added to the new sign during the lockdown.

Chef Ian Atkinson is creating a menu for foodies at the restaurant. He has been busy preparing during lockdown.

It has included making a variety of tasty sauces and chutneys.

On the restaurant’s Facebook page some of the tasty treats that could be on the menu have included Mandarin oriental master stock chicken, sticky ribs, and brined rabbit in a terrine with date and lime pickle.

The restaurant is among many hoping to launch as a successful venture after a tough year for the industry.
