THE University of Sussex and the University of Brighton have opened temporary testing sites where students will be tested for Covid before they travel home for Christmas (The Argus, December 1).
Bearing in mind that there are over 38,000 of them, spread out over the two sites, the city's 'cases per 100,000' statistics could go through the roof if a goodly number of them prove positive for the virus.
Enough, I wonder, to tip Brighton, or even the whole of Sussex, into an upward shift from Tier 2 into the even stricter Tier 3?
Time will tell.
