TWO young brothers are collecting toys to donate to a children’s charity this Christmas.

Eight -year-old Maxx and four-year-old Louie Honhold decided to appeal for toy donations for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity to be given out on Christmas Day.

The caring brothers, who live in Shoreham, originally appealed for 100 toys, but they have been overwhelmed with donations and are now at about 200.

Their mother, Emma Honhold, said she was incredibly proud of her sons for what they have achieved.

She said: “I think they have done so, so well and I am very proud of what they have done.

“They thought of the idea and by the next morning we had set it up for them and they enjoyed receiving every package and adding it to their collection.

“We first started our collection sharing our idea with family and friends and before we knew it our wish list was being shared and we were receiving gifts from complete strangers.”

So far, they have collected superhero toys, dolls, books, puzzles and crafting sets and will present them to the charity following a coronavirus quarantine period.

Louie said: “I think it’s really nice to make the children happy.”
