LAST month saw the return of a second national lockdown.
But while the shops and pubs were closed, Sussex was blessed with some spectacular skies and sunny autumn days.
Our loyal photographers did not disappoint when we set them the challenge of taking pictures on the theme of “the bright side”.
It was a particularly tough choice to pick a winner, especially as more than 70 photos were submitted.
This month’s top snapper is Nic Pimm for her stunning photo of glowing sunlight behind the clouds which form an angelic shape.
She described the picture as “my guardian angel from the heavens bringing me home safe from bright skies”.
Keith Wells also impressed with his spectacular shot of the final firework during a display outside Lancing College.
Annette Mary Radford provided a creative take on the theme with her photo of a scavenging seagull enjoying the “bright side of life” at a dinner table in Worthing Terrace, while Sky McGee captured an incredible sunrise from Poets Corner in Hove.
The theme for December’s competition is “twinkling”.
To enter, join the Argus Camera Club at facebook.com/cameraclubargus and post your photo in the pinned competition thread by midnight on January 1, with a note to say where and when it was taken.
The winner will be chosen early next month and as usual there will be a £50 prize.
