DOZENS of pieces of stolen jewellery were found by police after a routine call about a bicycle theft.

Officers attended an address in Pelham Place, Crawley on November 11 over reports of a bike being stolen.

A search warrant unearthed 82 pieces of stolen jewellery. Now police want to track down the owners.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and burglary.

He faces four burglary counts and a further count of possessing cannabis.

The suspect was put on police bail until December 10.
