MOTORISTS have appeared in court for a variety of offences committed on our roads.
Here are some of the drivers who have been named in magistrates’ courts in Sussex in November and December.
SAMEH MIKHAEL
Aged 39, of The Gardens, Southwick, admitted speeding in a Mercedes faster than the 50mph limit on the A27 at Lewes. Fined £120, with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs. Three points added to his licence.
AMY IDEN
Aged 33, of Montefiore Road, Hove, admitted failing to identify the driver of a Renault suspected of a road traffic offence in Shoreham to the police. Fined £300, with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs. Six points added to her licence.
PAUL ADSETT
Aged 26, of Cheviot Road, Worthing, admitted driving a Ford in Guildford Road, Horsham while using a mobile phone. Fined £160, with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs. Three points added to his licence.
IKRAM ALI
Aged 44, of Cumbernauld Walk, Bewbush, admitted driving a Volvo bus without due care and attention at the Pelham roundabout in Crawley. Fined £300, with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs. Six points added to his licence.
HARVEY CARTER
Aged 18, of Woodlands Close, Crawley Down, admitted driving a Ford Fiesta in Sackville Gardens, East Grinstead without due care and attention, and driving without a valid licence or insurance. Fined £200, with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs. Six points added to his licence.
JAMES DINES
Aged 39, of Bedenscroft, Bognor, admitted driving a Vauxhall in Aldwick Road while using a mobile phone. Fined £38, with a £32 surcharge. Banned for six months for repeat offending.
LOUCA KEENOY
Aged 19, of Campbell Road, Tangmere, admitted driving a Peugeot on the A27 Arundel Road without due care and attention. Fined £366, with a £36 surcharge and £85 costs. Five points added to his licence.
BARBARA LLORENS
Aged 37, of Medway Drive, Forest Row, admitted speeding in an Audi on the A23 faster than the 70mph, 60mph, and 50mph speed limits. Fined £160, with a £34 surcharge and £85 costs. Six points added to her licence.
STEPHEN NORSWORTHY
Aged 53, of Little High Street, Shoreham, admitted driving a Ford while banned in South Street, Lancing, and driving without insurance. To do 100 hours of unpaid work with a £90 surcharge and £85 costs.
PAUL GRETZER
Aged 66, of Highdown Road, Lewes, found guilty of failing to identify the driver of a BMW suspected of a road traffic offence in Shoreham to the police. Fined £1,000, with a £181 surcharge and £775 costs. Six points added to his licence.
BRENDAN HUNTLEY
Aged 22, of Flimwell Close, St Leonards, admitted riding a trials bike without due care and attention by going the wrong way in a one-way street and by going through a red light, and admitted riding without a valid licence or insurance, and failing to stop. Fined £300, with eight points added to his licence.
KEVIN DEAKIN
Aged 61, of Gordon Road, Brighton, admitted speeding in a Mercedes on the A23 faster than the 60mph limit, and driving without a valid licence. Fined £80, with a £32 surcharge and £28 costs. Three points added to his licence.
MARK NIGHTINGALE
Aged 53, of Bonchurch Road, Brighton, admitted speeding in a Lexus in Lewes Road. Fined £200, with a £40 surcharge and £110 costs. Banned for six months for repeat offending.
