A "HEAT map" of the UK shows the areas which have reported the most cases of Covid-19 compared to their population in the most recent complete figures.

The data relates to the seven-day period leading up to Christmas day, and the weekly Covid rates are expressed as the number of recorded cases per 100,000 population.

Areas are split into Middle Layer Super Output Areas (MSOA) - a geographic hierarchy designed to improve the reporting of small area statistics in England and Wales, with each area having a minimum population of 5,000 and a maximum population of 7,200.

Scroll down for the areas in Sussex, and the areas in Brighton and Hove, with the highest weekly Covid rates.
