PEOPLE in Sussex are receiving text messages to say Covid-19 vaccines have started to arrive at GP surgeries.

The messages follow the launch of vaccination services that will soon be live at Portslade Health Centre and County Oak Medical Centre.

Services will be supported by GP practices to vaccinate their respective communities.

The GP surgeries involved in the latest rollout are as follows:

Portslade Health Centre

Benfield Valley Healthcare Hub

Hove Medical Centre

Links Road Surgery

Portslade Health Centre,

Wish Park Surgery

Brighton Health

Wellbeing Centre

Charter Medical Centre

Trinity Medical Centre

The message also urged patients not to contact the NHS to seek a vaccine and that they will be contacted once they are eligible.

Vaccinations are being prioritised, with those most at risk of complications from Covid-19 being offered the vaccine first.

A phased roll out is currently underway with care home residents and those 80-years of age and over being offered the vaccination first, along with frontline health and social care workers.

Hospital hub vaccination services in Sussex were launched at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton on 8th December 2020.

Brighton and Hove Healthwatch is also warning people to be aware of fraudulent calls and text messages offering the Covid-19 vaccination.
