THE theme for The Argus Camera Club competition in December was "twinkling".

We received almost 50 glittering entries on the festive theme, as our keen photographers took to the streets and countryside at night to capture sparkling scenes.

There were a number of socially-distant festive events held throughout the month following the second national lockdown in November, including the Worthing Laser Show - captured here by Kasia Kędziora, who said it was a "fantastic experience" to capture that event.

Meanwhile Dylan Solley's creative take on the theme was a photo of a kestrel in Cuckmere.

He said: “ You can see the twinkle in the kestrel’s eye as it looks for prey.”

But there could only be one winner.

This month’s top snapper is Kai Kinsey, who captured an incredible shot of twinkling stars and the Milky Way on a clear December night from Seven Sisters.

The theme for January’s competition is “bracing”.

To enter, join the Argus Camera Club at facebook.com/cameraclubargus and post your photo in the pinned competition thread by midnight on February 1 with a note to say where and when it was taken.

The winner will be chosen next month and as usual there will be a £50 prize.
