POLICE have identified the body of a man found on a beach as 77-year-old Donald Cherry.
Officers discovered the body after they were called to Splashpoint, off Cliff Road in Seaford, at 2pm on Monday.
The force say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "The body of a man found on the shore at Splashpoint, off Cliff Road in Seaford, at 2pm on Monday has been identified as that of 77-year old Donald Cherry, from North Road in Alfriston.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner's officer is continuing enquiries."
