A TEENAGE boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of restaurant owner Sue Addis.
The 69-year-old was found dead at her home in Brighton on Thursday evening.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, attended a preliminary hearing at Brighton Magistrates Court today.
He wore a grey sweatshirt and was flanked by two security officers who accompanied him in the dock.

The teenager was remanded in youth detention until Monday, when he is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court.
Prosecutor Victoria Grey said: "The youth service is of the view that due to the seriousness of this crime, a remand in secure accommodation would be appropriate."
Mrs Addis co-owned Donatello's restaurant in The Lanes with her husband who moved to the UK from Sardinia.

Her cause of death will be determined at a post mortem examination, due to be held on Monday.
The Addis family have said they are "in a state of shock" at this "sad and distressing time".
