A ROAD has been closed after a "serious crash".
Police are on the scene of the collision on the A264 Five Oaks Road near Slinfold.
Officers have taped off the carriageway and are warning drivers that it is set to be shut "for some time".
Sergeant Richards Hobbs of the Sussex Roads Policing unit is one of the officers at the scene.
In a post on Twitter, he said: "The A264 south of Five Oaks near Slinfold is closed and will be for some time due to a serious collision."
An AA traffic report has warned of queuing traffic in the area as a result of the road closure.
A spokesman said: "The road is closed and there is queueing traffic due to a serious accident on the A264 Five Oaks Road both ways between the A29 Stane Street and Fulfords Hill.
"This is affecting traffic between Billinghurst and Horsham."
Sussex Police have been contacted for further information.
