A MAN died after collapsing near a bridge.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Shoreham Footbridge yesterday afternoon with emergency vehicles quickly filling the road.
Passers-by and later paramedics gave the man CPR, but he could not be saved.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) spokesman said: "We were called shortly before 3pm yesterday to Shoreham Footbridge to reports a man had collapsed.
"Ambulance crews attended the scene but sadly despite the best efforts of all those involved, the man died at the scene."
Sussex Police say "there are no suspicious circumstances" surrounding the man's death.
