A FLOOD alert has been issued near an airport after heavy rainfall last night.
According to the government's flood information service, the alert is in place for Gatwick Stream, Upper River Mole, Ifield Brook, Burstow Stream and Salfords Stream.
As river levels are rising, flooding on roads and low lying land is possible, particularly around Salfords Bridge.
