FIREFIGHTERS reacted lightning-fast to extinguish flames which had engulfed a van’s engine on an industrial estate.
Midhurst Fire Station crews rushed to Wedglen Industrial Estate shortly before 10pm yesterday after receiving a report of the blaze.
A team arrived at the scene in Bepton Road within seven minutes of the call to central control.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and a fog nail to contain the fire to the engine compartment.
The vehicle was safely recovered.
