ZOE BALL says Captain Sir Tom Moore is "forever in our hearts" in an emotional tribute posted online.
The war veteran died after testing positive for Covid-19 and thousands have joined in paying tribute to the veteran's death.
The 100-year-old charity fundraiser was taken to hospital on Sunday, after being treated for pneumonia for some time and testing positive for the virus the week before last.
In a tribute posted on Instagram, the radio presenter, who lives in Newick, thanked Sir Capt Tom for being so "inspirational".
She said: "Captain Sir Tom Moore.

"Thank you for inspiring us all to do more to help our fellow humans. You are forever in our hearts.
"May your star shine the brightest for your loved ones.
"RIP magical chap."
Last year, the decorated veteran set out to raise funds for the NHS by walking 100 circuits of his Bedfordshire garden in Marston Moretaine by his 100th birthday on April 30, 2020.
The initial fundraising target was £1,000. When the final count was made the amount was close to an astonishing £33 million.
