A DRIVER will have to pay more than £1,000 after fraudulently using a disabled parking badge.

Desire Oliva had parked a vehicle at Cannon Place, Brighton on three occasions.

She had used the blue badge “with intent to deceive” a court ruled.

The 23-year-old was also found guilty of failing to identify the driver of the vehicle to Brighton and Hove City Council.

At a hearing at Brighton Magistrates’ Court she was found guilty of three counts of using the parking device with intent to deceive.

Oliva, of Celandine Close, Crawley, was fined £360 for the offences, with a £36 surcharge.

She must also pay £750 court costs for the city council bringing the prosecution after the hearing held last month.
