A PEDESTRIAN suffered serious injuries in an early morning crash.
The 56-year-old man was hit by a silver Ford Fiesta on the B2179 in West Wittering, near the junction with Itchenor Road, at about 6.19am yesterday.
He was taken to hospital with head injuries, and remains in hospital at this stage.
No other injuries were reported during the crash.
Sussex Police are now appealing for witnesses as they try to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.
A force spokesman said: "Anyone with any information about the collision – including anyone with any dash cam or CCTV footage which may have captured what happened – is urged to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 108 of 08/02."
